Club Athletics
Chesterton Academy of Buffalo partners with the Niagara Frontier Christian Athletic Association, an independent Christian High School and Homeschool Club Athletic Program. All athletic programs are run by dedicated volunteers and any fees associated with our club sports are separate from Chesterton Academy of Buffalo. Due to the pandemic, our sports teams have been limited to informal practices and scrimmages in order to adhere to the recommendations by NY State.

House System
Chesterton Academy’s House system is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students the opportunity to take ownership, fulfill the call to leadership, and to cultivate the ideal conditions for virtue. Each House has a Prefect, a Junior prefect, and a faculty advisor.

Chaplaincy

Our students attend Mass daily. Area priests are invited to campus to hear student confessions monthly.
We also are fortunate to have Ms. Lindsey Martin as our Dean of Students. She is assisted by Ms. Kristen Leaderstorf, faculty and staff to direct the spiritual life of our school. Students enjoy retreats, adoration, opportunities for vocation discernment and dialogue and we are especially blessed to have Ms. Martin as our PE teacher and Ms. Leaderstorf as our Theology and Art History teacher!
Pilgrimages
Rome & Assisi

Chesterton Academy of Buffalo seniors are joining Chesterton Academy students from around the country for a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi, Italy. They encounter relics from the saints, sing for the Holy Father and see in real life the wonders of the ancient churches in the Eternal City.
2021 Pilgrimage | TBD
Washington, D.C.

Chesterton Academy of Buffalo will attend the March for Life in Washington DC, and this year’s theme is “Equality Begins in the Womb.” We will travel with the Children of Mary Homeschoolers, and attend the March on January 21st, 2022 at the National Mall to hear Fr. Mike Schmitz, Kirk Cameron, Matthew West, Rep. Julia Letlow and many others witness to pro-life America. We will also visit the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. We request our Chesterton friends and families who are unable to join us in Washington, DC to unite in prayer, especially on January 21st for an end to abortion.
