House System

Chesterton Academy’s House system is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students the opportunity to take ownership, fulfill the call to leadership, and to cultivate the ideal conditions for virtue. Each House has a Prefect, a Junior prefect, and a faculty advisor.

Congratulations to the House of Augustine!

Chaplaincy

We are fortunate to have Fr. Richard Poblocki as the pastor of St. Josaphat Parish as our spiritual leader. He has a distinct presence on campus and celebrates Mass for our students daily. Area Priests are invited to campus to hear student confessions monthly.

We also are fortunate to have Sr. Lindsey Joan Martin as our Campus Minister. She is assisted by faculty and staff to direct the the spiritual life of our school with help from other members of her community. Students enjoy retreats, adoration, opportunities for vocation discernment and dialogue and we are especially blessed to have Sr. Lindsey as our PE teacher!

Pilgrimages

Rome & Assisi

Chesterton Academy of Buffalo seniors are joining Chesterton Academy students from around the country for a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi, Italy. They encounter relics from the saints, sing for the Holy Father and see in real life the wonders of the ancient churches in the Eternal City.

2020 Pilgrimage | March 22 – 31

Washington, D.C.

Chesterton Academy of Buffalo will again join the Children of Mary Homeschool group, other area high school and college students as well as the Diocese of Buffalo to march for Life in Washington DC this year.
